A one-week residential retreat combining Vipassana Insight Meditation, Samatha, Chi Kung and body-awareness practices in the natural surroundings of Sloup v Čechách.
Guided by Master Boris Tichanovský and Master George Christodoulou Jagaro.
This retreat is designed as an accessible but substantial week of meditation, movement and inner observation. The program combines seated and walking meditation, Chi Kung, body-awareness work and periods of quiet personal time.
It is suitable for complete beginners as well as people with previous experience who want to deepen their practice in a residential setting.
Direct observation of thoughts, emotions, bodily sensations and changing experience, with an emphasis on clarity and awareness.
Practices that cultivate steadiness, concentration and a calmer relationship with mental activity.
Movement, breath and attention exercises taught as a way of developing coordination, groundedness and body awareness.
Gentle movement and body-awareness practices that can support comfort and mobility during a week with extended meditation.
The retreat includes several meditation postures rather than relying only on seated practice.
Substantial free time gives participants space to rest, walk, reflect and let the practice settle between sessions.
Boris brings decades of experience in internal martial arts, Chi Kung and body-based practice. During the retreat he guides the movement, breath and body-awareness components of the program.
George guides the Samatha and Vipassana meditation practice, with an emphasis on direct experience, careful observation and practical integration.
